Job Description:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on refrigeration systems, including inspection, cleaning, and lubrication of components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with refrigeration units, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and controls.
- Repair or replace faulty components and systems to restore refrigeration units to proper working condition.
- Conduct performance tests and adjustments to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of refrigeration systems.
- Document maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship diploma/certificate, Trade diploma/certificate, Vocational school diploma/certificate.
- A minimum of 4 years in refrigeration systems, preferably in transportation or the reefer industry.
- Driver's License is an asset as they would not be near any residential areas.
