Job Description:
- Oversee Baking Operations: Manage daily baking operations, ensuring quality and consistency in all baked goods.
- Supervise Staff: Lead and mentor a team of bakers and kitchen staff, providing training and performance feedback.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage ingredient stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Recipe Development: Create and refine recipes, introducing new products and seasonal items to the menu.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products meet the bakery's quality standards and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and special events.
- Sanitation: Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the baking area, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of recipes, production volumes, and inventory usage.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing) to promote bakery products and coordinate special orders.
Qualifications:
- Baking and pastry degree or equivalent
- 4 years of management experience in a bakery
- Ability to produce quality breads and pastries
- Creativity in baking and pastry production
- Experience in training bakery personnel
- Experience in decorating cakes
