Job Description:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and chef instructions.
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often working on a specific station such as grill, sauté, or fry.
  • Follow recipes accurately and efficiently to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure timely and smooth food production.
  • Assist in inventory management, receiving deliveries, and stocking ingredients as needed.
  • Be flexible and able to handle different responsibilities and stations as required during shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role in a restaurant or food service setting is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and practices (e.g., HACCP standards).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and the capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff.
