Job Description:

Manage all activities of the Accounting and Treasury/Customer Service Departments:
 Direct the daily processing of all transactions to and from the automated
Accounting system;
 Ensure that accounting records and reports (General Ledger, journal vouchers, cash
receipts and disbursements, bank reconciliation statements, adjusting entries,
subsidiary ledgers, etc.) are completed on a timely basis.
 Present consolidated monthly and quarterly management reports covering
Accounting, Treasury and Customer Service, and participate in management
discussions and decision making.
 Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in compliance to standard operating
procedures and generally accepted accounting principles and standards;
 Control the cash flow of the retirement fund administered by MISSA and ensure
that disbursements are in accordance with duly approved budget, and funds are
readily available.
 Continuously update all MISSA personnel on new policies and rules related to
accounting;
 Certify availability of funds in accordance with duly approved budget;
 Maintain adequate financial and accounting system;
 Ensure the security, confidentiality, completeness and availability of financial
records;
 Review and regularly update the overall financial and accounting systems and
procedures and ensure the continuous and consistent application of internal control;
 Maintain a close oversight of MISSA’s payroll system and ensure that allotment
deductions, salary rates, time charges, leave usage, overtime charges are duly
approved and recorded correctly;
 Ensure that MISSA payables are recorded, processed and settled on a timely basis;
 Maintain an active oversight of the day-to-day functions of accounting and
treasury/front desk personnel;

 Advise MISSA management on a timely basis any financial related issues that may
have a significant impact in MISSA operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or related course), major in Accounting
  • Must be a CPA or Chartered Accountant, with minimum of 5 years managerial experience in General Accounting and Finance, computer literate, with excellent oral and written English.
  • Background in fund accounting, external audit and MIP accounting software preferred but not required.
  • Salary Range: US$27,000-30,000 per annum
  • With housing allowance of US$11,400 per annum
