Job Description:

  1. Support the Retail Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory management, and sales performance.
  2. Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising retail staff to ensure high levels of productivity, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Collaborate with the Retail Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
  4. Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards to maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
  6. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer and the company.
  7. Assist in merchandising, product displays, and promotional activities to enhance the visual appeal of the store and drive sales.
  8. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and reporting to support efficient store operations.
  9. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and employee engagement.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail, or a related field, degree may be substituted with 4 years of management experience in grocery retail.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Grocery retail management experience, preferably in a Hypermarket Store set up.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate store associates.
  • Knowledge and experience with retail business operations and processes like merchandising, ordering, and receiving.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of POS systems and analytics
